Half Term holidays...., fun low cost ideas for days out in Stoke on Trent




The Half Term holidays are upon us, the cost of all those days out can mount up and cause a shiver down your spine. We’ve made a list of some of the Places to Visit and activities in Stoke-on-Trent that are low cost ……


Potteries Museum and Art Gallery Admission Free


Take a wander around the galleries ... The Local History Gallery, see the old local pub, a chip shop and a schoolroom. The Natural Science Gallery..... find out about the local wallabies. Dress up in period costumes. Let the children learn and have fun with the hands on activities and games.

Westport Lake Admission Free


A great family day out, wrap up for a stroll around the lake, bird watching, beautiful scenery, followed by a warm drink and a treat at the café.

On 31 October 4.30pm - 8.30pm Halloween activities including pumpkin carving , cookie and pumpkin decorating, ghoulish games, frightful fun


Central Forest Park

Set slap bang in the middle of the city is a delightful green space with a picturesque lake, a perfect place for walking, cycling and skateboarding. A playground to let your little ones run of some of that stored up energy. Round your visit off with a feast in the picnic area.
