Half Term Fun around Stoke-on-Trent

Next week is Half Term again already, it’s usually a time when parents are stressed about how to keep the children occupied but not wanting it to cost a small fortune. We’ve put together some ideas of things to do around Stoke-on-Trent that only cost a couple of pounds or even better FREE!

Potteries Museum and Art Gallery, Hanley

It’s free admission and great to wander around the galleries- a local history gallery showing the history of the people of Stoke-on-Trent, a schoolroom, a pub and even a traditional chip shop.

The Natural Science gallery is very hands on with play-inspired games and activities.

For Half Term they have a special craft activity:

Make a superhero from clay – drop on 18,19 and 20 February 10.30am-12.30pm and 1.15pm-3pm

Only £1.50

Ozzy Owl’s superhero trail – all half term

Help Ozzy to find 12 objects in the museum that link to a superhero

Only £1 (includes a free pencil)

Hem Heath Nature Reserve, Trentham

For older children (aged 10-15)

Meet the Wildchild Officers at World of Wedgwood at 10.30am and trek into the base in middle of the woods. They will build shelters and cook of fires pizza, hot chocolate and marshmallows and lots of other activities. For more information or to book a place go on the website
